Ruby Jane's first SNOW & Family Christmas Tree Cutting

There is something SO nostalgic about a fresh cut Christmas tree in the home. We have not always gotten one since I've been married... but I ALWAYS had a fresh cut on growing up and insisted upon one this year. It's such a beautiful tradition and I want my kids growing up with the whole experience of finding the perfect one, cutting it down and then trimming it. In the past, we have either gotten a permit and searched for one in the forest, or gone to a lot, or last year, since I was pregnant, just used a plant as a tree!

This year, we went to the most charming Christmas Tree Lot, just outside of Whitefish. Ron's trees are beautiful with a wide selection. You can walk the beautiful acreage and pick the perfect tree and then you cut and measure. $6 a foot! Can't beat that! Locals, check it out. It's just off Dillion Road.

We taught Everett how to tell how old the tree was after saying a little blessing and thanks to the tree and cutting it down. I snapped a few photos of Ruby's first snow, and then our adventure in tree-ville.

Happy Holidays to you all! It's shaping up to be a busy but beautiful one for our super grateful little family of four.
